Night Photography is fun and easy. When performed well, the results are spectacular and awe-inspiring.

This tutorial covers some of the basics of photography with specific reference to low-light conditions that require longer exposures. In addition to this, the tutorial also describes the use of Unsharp Mask and Curves in Adobe Photoshop, both of which are useful image-editing tools in night and day photography. Over 40 diagrams and example photographs are included to aid understanding and highlight important points.

cool background picture, it is really nice, it looks a bit like surfers paradise (gold coast) at night
Thank you. The background image was from Southbank in Melbourne, Australia...I remember that place fondly, and miss it a lot. Hope the tutorial itself was helpful to you.

Thank you. I'm happy you found this to be useful and easy to understand. Photography is almost an obsession for me at this time. There's not much time left now since military service is standing in the way. But once I get more settled with the routine, I should be able to scrape up more time for it. :D

hehe, all i need know is a good Digital SLR. XD just need money.
That's great! It's always good when people can understand my ramblings. :D Thank you so much for the fave!

Speaking of digital SLRs, I'm considering moving up to one of those once the price is right. My current camera offers all the features I need, but I'm just looking for better image quality and a higher megapixel category. SLRs are probably harder to use than the regular digicams though. Over two years ago, there was much talk about the Canon EOS D60...a solid digital SLR with great photographic quality. It's out of production now unfortunately, so the next place to look is a second-hand shop...I just don't trust second-hand goods in general.
